Buying a kids' electric bike is a real decision. Here's what most parents want to know before they commit.
Is an electric bike safe for my child?
Yes — when matched to your rider's age and skill. Every FXB bike has an adjustable speed limiter: parents set the top speed, kids ride within it. Our youngest bike (FXB03-12) caps at 10 km/h in training mode; our flagship FXB06-24 tops out at 55 km/h in High mode. Three speed tiers on most models mean the same bike grows with your child's skill for years.
How do I choose the right size?
Start with age, then confirm by height. As a guide: 12" balance bikes fit riders aged 2–6 (up to ~115cm). 16" fits 5–9 (up to ~135cm). 20" fits 9–14 (up to ~170cm). 24" fits teens 12+ (160cm+). What's included when I buy?
Your FXB arrives pre-assembled in a heavy-duty box. In the box: the bike, a charger, a tool kit for seat/bar adjustments, and a quickstart guide. You'll be riding within 10 minutes of opening. We also include 2-year warranty coverage and a 30-day test ride — if it's not the right fit, send it back for a full refund.
How long does the battery last?
Depends on the bike and riding style. Balance bikes (12"/16") run 15–20 km per charge. Dirt bikes and racers (14"/20"/24") run 20–30 km depending on speed mode. Charging takes around 3 hours from empty. All batteries are removable — so you can swap packs to keep the session going, or bring the battery inside to charge without moving the bike.
Do I need a licence or registration?
For off-road and private property use, no. FXB bikes are designed for private land, trails, and motocross tracks — not road use. Rules vary by state for public areas like footpaths and parks, so check with your local council if you're unsure. We'll always recommend a helmet and proper riding gear regardless of where you ride.
How fast can I get one?
We ship Australia-wide for free, with dispatch usually within 1–2 business days of order. Delivery times vary by state — 3–5 days to metro areas, 5–10 days regional. You'll get a tracking number as soon as your bike leaves our warehouse.

Where do you ship?
We ship Australia-wide from our Melbourne warehouse. Free shipping on every bike, with delivery typically within 3–7 business days.
What's covered under warranty?
Every FXB comes with a 2-year warranty covering the frame, motor and battery against manufacturing defects. Consumables (tyres, brake pads, chain) are excluded.
Wear and Tear is excluded.
Can I return my bike?
Yes — we offer a 30-day test ride. If it's not for you, return it for a full refund (bike must be in as-new condition, with no more than 2hours). You will need to pay the return shipping, once received we check the bike and give you a full refund.
How long does the battery last per charge?
Typical range is 25–60km (or 1-4 hours) depending on model, rider weight, terrain and riding style. Full specs are on each product page.
Are the kids' bikes safe for beginners?
Yes — all kids' models have adjustable speed limiters so you can start slow and increase as confidence grows. Hydraulic disc brakes on every bike.
What charger comes with the bike?
Every bike ships with a smart charger that works on Australian AC mains (240V). Full charge time is typically 3–5 hours depending on model.
